Our earnest desire is to make a difference in the lives of the homeless. We realize that each person may be needing something different. That’s why we work to offer a broad range of resources and support tools. We are open to supporting the homeless in whatever ways we can — and here are some of them:

HELPING TO MOVE BEYOND HOMELESSNESS
In addition to providing these support services, we strive to help the homeless get to the root of why they are homeless. This involves digging deep into the issues that brought about the homelessness to prevent it from reoccurring in the future. We want our clients to have permanent independence and freedom. So, finding this answer is critical. We will look into issues such as : 
  • Legal trouble 
  • Disability 
  • Unemployment 
  • Divorce 
  • Separation 
  • Domestic issues ​
  • Gambling 
  • Substance abuse 
  • Lack of support networks 
  • PTSD 
  • Military trauma  

NOW, THEY NEED THAT ADDED SUPPORT, ENCOURAGEMENT, AND CARE SO THEY CAN THRIVE IN SOCIETY.

​That’s where we come in. Our goal and passion are to ensure that they have the tools and resources to be successful and independent.

We are veterans here, we understand the unique challenges that others face. Our desire is to give to those in need, whether it is a homeless veteran or not. In fact, Warfighters Refuge Project is committed to assist anyone who needs help accessing resources. 

Warfighters Refuge Project is a 501C3 nonprofit organization located in Fredericksburg.
